Betty Bromage is 97 and has just broken her own Guinness World Record as the world’s oldest female wing walker.
After suffering a stroke in 2025, she returned to the skies to raise money for the stroke unit at Cheltenham General Hospital in the UK, where doctors helped save her life.
She says the flight itself was relatively easy compared with the challenge of climbing onto the aircraft’s wing.
A former nurse, Betty was inspired by a message about kindness she encountered during her career. Now, she continues to give back by helping raise money for others.
Her latest feat is a remarkable example of courage, determination and resilience—and a reminder that age doesn’t have to stand in the way of making a difference.
