68-year-old Daniel Albert of Chelsea has died as a result of fire pit incident last month.
From the Maine State Police:
On Wednesday, April 6, 2023 at approximately 6:33pm, Augusta Rescue was dispatched to 139 Dr. Mann Road in Chelsea. Upon arrival, they determined that 68-year-old Daniel Albert had fallen into a fire pit at his residence. He was discovered by a family member who called 911. Mr. Albert was treated for burns to his body and transported to a local hospital before being transported by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center. Mr. Albert had burns over 45 percent of his body. He passed away this morning, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at approximately 12:40 am, as a result of his injuries.
