Clifton Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges After Bail Check

A 30-year-old Clifton man faces serious drug trafficking charges after Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered multiple illegal substances during a routine bail compliance check, May 6.

Brandon McCann was taken into custody without incident following the discovery of approximately 16.6 grams of crack cocaine, 17.6 grams of methamphetamine, and 26 pressed methamphetamine pills in his possession.

Deputies charged McCann with two counts of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and one count of violation of conditional release. He is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail pending further court proceedings.

Authorities have not released additional details about the investigation at this time, but the case remains active.
