Construction Begins July 6 on Carter Memorial Bridge in Winslow

The Town of Winslow announced that the Maine Department of Transportation will begin construction work on the Carter Memorial Bridge, Monday, July 6.

The project will be completed in two phases:

Phase 1: Two-way traffic will be maintained with narrow travel lanes.
Phase 2: The bridge will be restricted to one-way westbound traffic only, allowing travel from Winslow to Waterville.

Currently, there is still limited information regarding the project schedule and traffic impacts. However, the project is expected to continue through the end of August.

Please use caution when traveling through the work zone, follow all posted signs, and allow extra travel time as needed.
