Fatal Eddington Crash

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says a 25-year-old female from Eddington was found deceased inside a vehicle, this morning, July 9.

On 7/9/25 at 1145 am, a Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputy on routine patrol came upon a traffic crash that had appeared to have just occurred. When Deputies began to investigate, they discovered a Toyota Rav 4 had struck a tree head-on. The operator of the motor vehicle, a 25-year-old female from Eddington was found deceased inside the vehicle. Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Drone team, and Forensic Mappers are investigating the cause of the crash. The Sheriffs Office was assisted by the Eddington Fire Department, Holden Fire Department and the Maine Department of Transportation.
