UPDATE: From the Maine State Police: The Fire Marshall’s Office is still investigating to determine the cause of the fire, but there is no evidence or indication of foul play. The building did not have a sprinkler system. The deceased is Ronald Kennerson, 65.

One person is dead and three others are injured this morning, May 22, in a fire at an apartment building on Elm Street in Waterville.

According to WGME, the victim was discovered on the fourth floor.

The apartment building is used for housing for the elderly.
