Who knew that Maine has what amounts to, basically, an extended warranty on some appliances? I didn’t!

Do you think the manufacturer is going to tell you that this exists? Likely not.

According to WGME’s I-Team, the “implied warranty” has a few minor caveats:

The item needs to be poorly designed or seriously defective, it hasn’t been abused and the item was purchase less than four years ago and is still within its normally expected useful life.

If your appliance or product passes that test, both the seller and manufacturer are legally responsible for repairing or replacing it.
