44-year-old Yuequan Chen of Massachusetts and 66-year-old Li Min Chan of Florida were arrested this morning, Jan. 2, as marijuana was seized at two residences in Belgrade.

The searches were at residences on Guptill Road and Point Road.

From Maine State Police:

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at approximately 11:00 am, in response to community complaints the Maine State Police executed two search warrants at a residence on Guptill Road and a residence at Point Road in the town of Belgrade. In all 2300 marijuana plants were seized during the searches. Troopers arrested 44-year-old Yuequan Chen of Massachusetts and 66-year-old Li Min Chan of Florida who were both charged with Illegal Cultivation of Marijuana and Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (500+ plants). Both are class B felonies. Chen and Chan were transported to the Kennebec County Jail. The investigation continues. This is the only information available at this time.
