Maine State Police Bomb Squad Gives ‘All Clear’ After ‘Suspicious Item’ Found in Rumford

The Maine State Police Bomb Squad has determined that suspicious items found near the Information Booth on Bridge Street in Rumford, are not of concern. They have given the “all clear” and Route 2 has been reopened.

The Rumford Police, Rumford Fire and MedCare Ambulance were all involved in a “suspicious item” investigation earlier today, Sept. 24.
