The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention today, Aug. 12, confirmed the fourth case of monkeypox in Maine. This time it’s a person under the age of 18.
It is the first pediatric case in Maine.
Only two other states have confirmed cases in people under the age of 18. Those are in California and Florida.
