As of today, Oct. 25, Maine’s expanded ‘Slow Down, Move Over’ is now on the books and could result in a fine of $275.00.
The law includes any disabled vehicle, not just emergency or tow truck crews. Each year, according to AAA, 350 people are struck and killed each year while waiting outside their vehicle.
