Make a Difference for Teens with the Maine Children's Home

This holiday season, you can make a difference in the lives of Maine teens facing financial hardship by donating to the Maine Children’s Home Christmas Winter Essentials Program.

Did you know that 42% of families in Maine struggle to meet their basic needs? That’s nearly half of Maine’s families. This is why the Maine Children’s Home has decided to expand their Christmas/Winter Essentials Program to provide care packages of winter essentials to youth through the age of 17. The program previously served up to age 12.

Nearly half of Maine families struggle to afford necessities. Teens in our community urgently need body wash, shampoos, shaving supplies, and adult-sized socks and underwear. Items that help them feel clean, confident, and valued.

Newly purchased items can be dropped off at the Maine Children’s Home on Silver Street in Waterville.
