Man Shot After Chase Through Multiple Central Maine Towns

33-year-old Dustin Smith, wanted on multiple felony arrest warrants, led Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office deputies through Chelsea, Windsor and then into Augusta.

Reports say Smith refused to pull over and then the chase ensued. Smith allegedly fired a gun at the officers multiple times during the chase.

The suspect ended up stopping on Allen Street in Augusta. He reportedly opened the vehicle door and pointed a gun at the officers. According to CBS 13, WGME, Deputy Curtis and Deputy Boudreau then shot at Smith and grazed him. He was then taken into custody.

Also arrested was 29-year-old Kierra Stoddard, who resisted arrest.
