Fairfield Police say they clocked a drunk driver going over 100 mph on Norridgewock Road in Fairfield late last night, Jan. 2. The speed limit on the road is 55-mph.

From Fairfield Police:

On 1/2/2024 at about 11 PM, Sgt. Patrick Mank was patrolling the Fairfield Center area on the Norridgewock Road. While on the Norridgewock Road, he observed an SUV traveling at what he described to be an extremely high rate of speed in a posted 55 MPH zone. Sgt. Mank, using his RADAR, found that the vehicle was traveling over 100 MPH. He conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Kristen Gullifer, 35 of Skowhegan.

During his contact with Gullifer, Sgt. Mank found that she had consumed alcohol prior to driving, and conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests with her. An alcohol breath test was also administered, the results of which showed her to be more than twice of the legal limit of 0.08%.

Gullifer was booked into the Somerset County Jail and charged with Operating Under the Influence as well as Criminal Speed. Her bail was set at $500.
