Clear skies Maine expected in Maine Saturday, Oct. 14, should make great viewing for an expected partial solar eclipse.
You will need eclipse glasses or an indirect view, to see the partial eclipse, which is expected to begin around midday. Peak is around 1:30pm.
A partial solar eclipse is on the way for Saturday!! While only a small portion of the sun will be covered in Maine (~15%) still worth viewing if you have eclipse glasses. The forecast looks good for viewing with plenty of sun and temps in the 60s. 🌘🌒🌓 #mewx pic.twitter.com/faMuWU55GL

If you want to see the stars shining bright over Maine, you might want to head up north. The 10th annual Stars over Katahdin is on Saturday where Mainers can see the darkest skies east of the Mississippi River.https://t.co/qpZzPePjTb
