President Biden Pardons the National Thanksgiving Turkey

  • Published

President Joe Biden continued a Thanksgiving week tradition at the White House today, Nov. 25. The pardoning of Thanksgiving turkeys dates to 1963.

Biden joked that many in the crowd on the White House South Lawn were there seeking a pardon themselves.

Peach and Blossom, two turkeys from Minnesota, were given the holiday reprieve.

The turkeys will now serve as education ambassadors at the Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center.
