30-year-old Aric Houghton of Texas is being charged with domestic violence aggravated assault, obstructing the report of a crime, and criminal mischief.
Houghton allegedly attacked his girlfriend at her Bangor apartment, then cut his own face with a razor blade.
The victim told officers that Houghton was hoping to get her arrested for assaulting him.
