Barbara Millicent Roberts, Barbie as she is more commonly known, is dressing for success once again — this time on your mail.
The U.S. Postal Service is rolling out a brand-new series of Barbie postage stamps, hitting post offices Saturday. The colorful collection features the iconic doll in 10 different career outfits, celebrating a toy that has inspired imaginations since 1959.
Over the years, Barbie has tried on more than 250 careers, proving she can be just about anything — from astronaut to veterinarian and beyond.
The stamps themselves are making a fashion statement, too. They’re about one-third taller than traditional commemorative stamps and feature bright, eye-catching colors, including Barbie’s signature pink, to capture what designers call a true “spirit of fun.”
