Victims + Families of Lewiston Mass Shooting Eligible for Free University of Maine System Tuition

A new Lewiston Strong Tuition Waiver will be available for eligible victims of last month’s Lewiston mass shooting. Those who choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree will be able to attend the University of Maine System for free.

The University of Maine System is also creating a fund to accept donations toward the non-tuition college costs of those affected by the mass shooting.

The average UMS cost duran an academic year for in-state tuition and fees is just over $10,000.
