Late Friday night, May 12, according to law enforcement officials, a 21-year-old man was was shot in the leg as officers converged on The Concourse in downtown Waterville. Several fights has broken out in the area that broke out afterward, according to police.

The person shot had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to CentralMaine.com. officers from the Kennebec Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and Fairfield, Oakland and Winslow police departments responded.
