Jacob R. Walmer, 42, of Whitefield was taken into custody yesterday, Jan. 2, and is facing felony charges of assault, kidnapping, and domestic violence. Maine State Police were called to Walmer’s Heath Road residence. According to the Bangor Daily News, a domestic disturbance escalated into an armed standoff with state and county law enforcement, that lasted for almost 15 hours.
Jacob R. Walmer, 42, was taken into custody by the Maine State Police at around 11:15 a.m. on Monday after creating a nearly 15-hour standoff.
