Arrest in Lewiston Credit Union Attempted Robbery

The Lewiston Police Department says 46-year-old Donald White, who is transient, has been arrested, in connection to an attempted robbery at Maine Family Credit Union on Sabattus Street, Feb. 3

White reportedly demanded cash from a teller.

Lewiston Police, with the assistance of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area. Investigators utilized both a drone and an LPD K-9 team in an effort to locate the suspect. The suspect was eventually arrested and charged with various offenses including robbery.
