Two Bangor men are facing felony drug trafficking charges after officers seized 1,305.4 grams of fentanyl and 1,032.6 grams of cocaine base during a traffic stop on Friday afternoon, June 19.
The arrests occurred as part of a saturation patrol on the lower west side of Bangor, an area that has seen multiple complaints about drug trafficking.
Officers Rusby, Urso, Huggins, Canarr, and Reynolds, along with K9 Raye, conducted the traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Ronald Webster. The K9 alerted to the presence of illegal drugs, leading to a search of the vehicle and its occupants.
During the search, officers located the large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine base (crack cocaine). The seized drugs have an estimated street value of nearly $75,000.
Ronald Webster, 42, of Bangor, and Lyle Morris, 52, of Bangor, were each arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs, a Class A felony.
Both men are being held without bail at the Penobscot County Jail pending arraignment.
