You can participate in a new contest, announced by Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, to create a new potential design for Maine’s state flag.

Artists and designers may submit their interpretations of the design description so that selections can be and announced, before Mainers start voting in November’s General Election.

Voters will have the option to keep the current blue flag or change it to an interpretation of the original 1901 design of a pine tree and blue star.
