Dogs Banned from this Year’s ‘Paws on Parade’ in Bangor

The Bangor Humane Society’s says their annual “Paws on Parade” is still happening Saturday, Oct. 4, but unfortunately, with a change.

Because of the outbreak of canine parvovirus cases, no dogs will be allowed this year’s event. Parvo is very dangerous for dogs.

From Paws on Parade:

Due to a recent outbreak of parvovirus in our region, we are still moving forward with Paws on Parade, but dogs are not permitted. This was a difficult decision, but it was made with the health and safety of our beloved canine companions in mind. Please join us anyway for the walk, food trucks, and vendors offering lots of goodies for Fido.
