Hallelujah! Ticonic Bridge Between Waterville and Winslow OPENS!

Never in the 250 years of American history has the opening of a span been more anticipated than that of the Ticonic Bridge between Waterville and Winslow, Maine.

The bridge has been a single lane, Waterville to Winslow, most of the time since construction began four score and seven years ago. Tonight, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the world (Waterville and Winslow, specifically) is a better place.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, across the bridge we’ll go. Not necessarily because we need to but, rather, BECAUSE WE CAN!
