The Maine Senate today, Jan. 4, passed an emergency measure that will give checks for $450.00 to eligible Mainers for help in paying to heat their homes.

The state could begin mailing out the first of the $450 relief checks to 880,000 residents before the end of the month.

#BREAKING: Governor Janet Mills has signed her Emergency Winter Energy Relief Plan, which will provide Mainers with $450 checks to help offset heating costs.
