The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Ward Hill Road in Norridgewock, that lead to multiple drug arrests.
During the search of the residence, approximately 170 grams of fentanyl and cocaine, over 200 controlled pills and $6,277.00 in suspected illegal drug proceeds, were seized.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 5:40 am, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division executed a drug search warrant at the residence of William Allen, located on the Ward Hill Road in Norridgewock. The search warrant was obtained by the Criminal Division after a month’s long investigation regarding illegal drugs allegedly being sold from the residence. The search warrant execution team, led by Det. Lt. Carl Gottardi II, consisted of 6 Sheriff’s Office Detectives, 3 Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies and 3 Waterville Police Department Detectives. 4 U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agents, along with their drug detection K-9 unit, assisted at the search warrant location. During the execution of the search warrant, three individuals (Hernandez-Batista/Marte-Mateo/Silvia) attempted to flee the residence via a hole inside the residence floor, with said individuals being quickly apprehended underneath the residence by Officers executing the search warrant. During the search of the residence, approximately 170 grams of fentanyl and cocaine, over 200 controlled pills, $6,277.00 in suspected illegal drug proceeds, digital scales, illegal drug related documentation, and illegal drug related paraphernalia was located and seized. Other substances seized are in the process of being tested. The seized drugs have an approximate street of $16,000.00. Ariel Hernandez-Batista, age 34, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Class A). Hernandez-Batista’s initial Court date is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has placed a Federal detainer on Hernandez-Batista for allegedly being in the United States illegally. Hernandez-Batista is being held without bail. Luis Marte-Mateo, age 28, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Class A). Marte-Mateo’s initial court date is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has placed a Federal detainer on Marte-Mateo for allegedly being in the United States illegally. Marte-Mateo is being held without bail. Luke Silvia, age 44, (last known address Skowhegan), was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Class A). Silvia’s initial Court date in the Somerset County Unified Court is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court. Silvia’s bail has been initially set at $50,000.00 cash. Randell Woods, age 40, of Madison, was arrested and charged with Possession of Scheduled Drugs (Class C) and Violation of Conditions of Release. At the time of his arrest, Woods was out on bail on unrelated charges. Woods’ initial Court date is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court. Woods is being held without bail. Denise Webber, age 50, of Norridgewock, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant. Webber’s initial Court date is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court. Webber’s bail has been initially set at $100.00 cash. Jeremy Ross, age 46, of Anson, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant. Ross’ initial Court date is set for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 am at the Somerset County Unified Criminal Court.
