An Ohio man is facing multiple charges after police say he drove erratically, fled from a traffic stop and crashed near a Bangor-area rest stop, says a story from WGME TV.
State police stopped 33-year-old William Ratliffe around 3 Monday afternoon after reports of erratic driving on I-95 near Hampden.
Troopers say they smelled alcohol, found an open container and saw a female passenger with facial injuries.
Police say Ratliffe refused to get out of the truck before taking off and eventually crashing.
Troopers later found him hiding in the woods.
Ratliffe faces at least six charges, including operating without a license, OUI refusal and domestic violence.
