Authorities are investigating a violent robbery that left an adult male with a stab wound to the neck Thursday morning, June 4, on Chestnut Lane in Eddington.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the reported robbery at approximately 5:30am. Upon arrival, they found the victim had been stabbed in the neck during the incident and had also been threatened with a firearm. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived and are believed to have left the immediate area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. His current condition has not been publicly released.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is leading the case with assistance from the Maine State Police. Investigators have described the incident as isolated, stating there is no known ongoing threat to the public at this time.
