Yesterday morning, June 1, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a male individual reporting his vehicle submerged in a pond and requesting medical assistance for he and his wife. Upon their arrival, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office made contact with the male individual and found the female
lying on the shore of the pond and she was determined to be deceased by first responders.

The male was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner began a post-mortem examination on Collette Daggett on Wednesday. The details from the post mortem exam are not being released at this time.

Detectives from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit – South continue to interview witnesses and family regarding the circumstances leading up to the
incident.
