Sex Offender from Arkansas Arrested in Rockland

Rockland Police say they have arrested 23-year-old Jonathon Daugherty of Arkansas, wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

From the Rockland Police Department:

On 11/08/2025, at approximately 2:00 AM, Officers on patrol located a van with no registration plates parked at a business after hours. During the officer’s investigation, they located a male sleeping inside the vehicle. The male initially provided a false name and date of birth. Through their investigation, they were able to identify the male as Jonathon Daugherty (23 years-old of Arkansas). Daugherty was found to have a non-extraditable warrant out of Arkansas for failure to appear / failure to register as a sex offender. During the encounter with law enforcement Daugherty attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Daugherty was apprehended.
