UPDATE: The two victims in the fatal Livermore crash have been identified as 37-year-old Daniel Banville of Wilton, and 31-year-old Molly Hinkel of Jay.

Excessive high speed is a possible cause of the deadly crash in the 1800 block of Federal Road in Livermore, Monday night, Nov. 17.

The names of the deceased are being withheld until proper notification of the next of kin can be made.

From the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office:

On 11/17/25 at approximately 10:30 pm a deputy from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office was parked at the Turner Town Office at the intersection of Route 117 and Route 4 observing traffic. The deputy’s attention was drawn to a dark colored vehicle traveling north on Route 4 at a high rate of speed and with a loud exhaust. The deputy left the town office complex and started north on Route 4 trying to catch up to the vehicle. The suspect vehicle was traveling in excess of 100 MPH and was seen passing other vehicles. At one point the deputy activated his emergency lights as he attempted to catch up to the suspect vehicle, however, the deputy was never able to get close enough to the vehicle and the deputy’s attempt to catch up to the suspect vehicle was terminated. Shortly after the deputy terminated his attempt to catch up to the suspect vehicle he came upon a single vehicle crash in the 1800 block of Federal Road, Livermore. The investigation has determined that the vehicle, a blue 2013 Audi Q5 4 door left the roadway colliding with a mailbox, clipped a utility pole, then became airborne and struck a second utility pole causing the utility pole to break and wires to come down across Federal Road. The vehicle then collided with a tree where it came to rest. The two occupants of the vehicle were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene of their injuries. Federal Road was closed to all traffic from Route 108 in Livermore to Route 219 in Turner. Federal Road was reopened at 4:50 am after Central Maine Power replaced the utility pole and made repairs. Deputies were assisted by a crash reconstructionist from the Lewiston Police Department as well as the Livermore and Turner Fire Departments.
